I work in Private Practice as a General Counsellor and I have also had specialist training in Complex Bereavement, working for a number of years as a volunteer for a Bereavement Service, counselling NHS referred patients

Some of my areas of experience and interest are:

• Bereavement and loss

• Isolation and loneliness

• Depression

• Anxiety

• Anger

• Internal conflict

• Difficult relationships

• Problems at work

• Family issues

• Loss of identity and purpose in life

• Unhelpful repeating patterns of behaviour

 

Before qualifying as a counsellor I worked in commercial roles for various large organisations, so also have a good understanding of the workplace environment and associated dynamics.  I am also a Counselling Tutor at Banbury Counselling Academy.

As well as working with clients face to face in Banbury , I can also offer Telephone and Online Counselling, for which I am ACTO certified

As an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy MBACP (Accred), I work to their Ethical Framework which guides me to work safely and ethically within a counselling relationship.  I attend regular Clinical Supervision to safeguard my practice as well as professional development days to enhance my skills and maintain my professional standards. I am DBS cleared. ​
